“ETP” means “Effluent Treatment Plant” and is one type of wastewater treatment method which is particularly designed to purify industrial wastewater for its reuse and its aim is to release safe water to the environment from the harmful effect caused by the effluent.
Industrial effluents contain various materials, depending on the industry. Some effluents contain oils and grease, and some contain toxic materials. Since industrial wastewater contains a diversity of impurities and therefore specific treatment technology called ETP is required.
The ETP Plant works at various levels and involves various physical, chemical, biological, and membrane processes to treat wastewater from garments & textiles.
Benefits of ETP:
1. To clean industry effluent and recycle it for further use
2. To reduce the usage of fresh water in industries
3. To preserve the natural environment against pollution
4. To meet the standards for the emission of pollutants set by the Government & avoid heavy penalty
5. To reduce expenditure on water acquisition
6. The main focus of this system is to turn a large amount of effluent to null by separating water & salt by using its own technique.
7. These frameworks utilize evaporation and filtration technique for treatment.
8. This treatment is also called modern wastewater treatment.
9. It involves different phases of treatment comprising physical, chemical, and biological treatment.
10. Its installation in any industry is based on the quantity of effluent generated.
